Letter from Harris to Sibyl on one of their anniversaries

Every year, Harris sent Sibyl flowery sentimental cards - her favorite. He never failed to add comments.

Dear Sibyl,
As I sit here waiting for you plane to arrive I am reflecting back upon my love for you and how it has grown.

Why did I fall in love with you?

It was your ability to make me feel of some value and that life could be fun and enjoyable with someone like you to share it with.

Also, your inner beauty, which causes me to feel proud that you are mine, which you reflect through your eyes and expression as you look at me, not only now but then.
One thing I have learned with you is that we can never expect love to be taken for granted. The expression must be constant and sincere. I want you to know that for the past 23 years my love for you has increased many fold. Each child that has come from our union has caused me to thrill at our devotion to each other.

If I have been or ever will be considered successful I want you to know that you are my creator or my power of organization. I have worked hard to achieve and you have helped plant that desire with in me. This was the love you kindled in my heart so many years ago.

Your coming home today has fulfilled a dream that we not be apart on this day of all days. Today as every day we must be together to recommit our love and share it to the fullest as a token of our high esteem and respect for each other.

I feel our love is eternal and I am indeed very grateful and appreciative of you.
